SummerSlam 2019 Preview : Quick Hits

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins

  • At SummerSlam, Universal Champion Brock Lesnar goes head-to-head with Seth Rollins.
At WWE Extreme Rules, Lesnar stunned the WWE Universe when he reemerged just moments after a grueling Extreme Rules Winners Take All Mixed Tag Team main event and cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Seth Rollins to quickly win back the Universal Championship, toppling the very Superstar who beat him for the title at WrestleMania.

# Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Natalya (Submission Match)

As first reported by Postmedia of Canada, the Raw Women’s Championship Match between Becky Lynch and Natalya at SummerSlam will now officially be a Submission Match.
One day after Becky teamed with Seth Rollins and thwarted the challenge of Lacey Evans and her partner Baron Corbin in an Extreme Rules Winners Take All Mixed Tag Team bout, a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match took place on Raw to determine who will challenge The Man for the Raw Women’s Title at SummerSlam.

WWE Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton

  • Forged in the fires of a brutal past rivalry comes a SummerSlam WWE Title showdown of destiny between WWE Champion Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton.
Since winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, Kingston has had a target on his back with Superstars like Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler and Samoa Joe all looking to bring a swift and decisive end to his reign.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley vs. Ember Moon

  • Week in and week out, SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley has established herself as a truly inspirational titleholder, most recently with a successful title defense in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross at WWE Extreme Rules.

Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon

  • At SummerSlam, Kevin Owens will face off with Shane McMahon in a highly personal showdown, and if Owens loses, he will be forced to quit WWE.
The outspoken Owens spent the better part of the last several weeks bombarding Shane McMahon with a series of scathing tirades and some carefully timed assaults.

Trish Stratus vs. Charlotte Flair

  • Dream Match” gets tossed around pretty loosely these days, but how else is one supposed to describe a SummerSlam bout between arguably the two greatest female Superstars in WWE history, especially when almost no one saw it coming right up until the moment that the 2013 WWE Hall of Famer and The Queen crossed paths on the July 30 episode of SmackDown LIVE?

Goldberg vs. Dolph Ziggler

  • Goldberg shockingly emerged Monday on Raw with a simple message for Dolph Ziggler: “You’re next!”
Now, The Showoff will go one-on-one with the WWE Hall of Famer this Sunday at SummerSlam, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network at 7 ET/4 PT.

United States Champion AJ Styles vs. Ricochet

  • Reaching the top of the mountain and staying there are two entirely different beasts. At SummerSlam, Ricochet will attempt the daunting task of climbing back to the peak when he takes on the man who dethroned him for the United States Championship, AJ Styles.

Finn Bálor vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt

  • Finn Bálor and Bray Wyatt are once again about to battle, but the Superstar Bálor will be facing isn’t quite Bray Wyatt.
Instead of the old-school Eater of Worlds or even the jolly, cardigan-wearing children’s television show host, Bálor will be squaring up against the horrifying, masked alter ego Wyatt calls “The Fiend.” One week after The Fiend seemingly broke loose from the Firefly Fun House and attacked the former Intercontinental Champion, Bálor asked for time to speak out on SmackDown LIVE.

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak vs. Oney Lorcan

  • The WWE Universe is in for an intense and hard-hitting throwdown from Toronto as Oney Lorcan challenges WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak at The Biggest Event of the Summer.
